History of the East Tennessee Chapter

In 2001, NECA celebrated a century of leadership to the electrical industry.  In July of 1901, forty-nine electrical contractors established NECA in Buffalo, NY.  Today, NECA has grown to over 4500 members in 119 U.S. Chapters and 11 International Chapters.  Among the 119 U.S. Chapters of NECA is the East Tennessee Chapter.  With organizational roots in Chattanooga, the Chapter was chartered on May 14, 1957 when Herbert Haile was installed President.  Joining Mr. Haile as Charter Members were the following:
